Grace Bay Resorts in Turks and Caicos is setting the standard for luxury properties in the area with destinations like Grace Bay Club, Rock House, and West Bay Club. Their newest addition, South Bank, is gaining attention as a sophisticated sanctuary by the sea.
Opening in late 2024, South Bank welcomed its first guests in November and quickly made a name for itself. Situated in the Long Bay area of the Turks and Caicos islands, the resort is just a 20-minute drive from the airport. Opting for the car service provided by South Bank can make your travel days seamless and stress-free.
Accommodations at South Bank include the Boathouses, Lagoon Villas, and Ocean Estates. During my visit with my daughter in 2025, we stayed in a Lagoon Villa and were impressed by the spacious rooms and private bathrooms. The resort also offers dining options at Lua Beach House for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as private, in-house chef dining.
But what truly sets South Bank apart is its 5-acre ocean swimming lagoon, a unique feature in Turks and Caicos. Surrounded by a white-sand beach and palm-fringed tropical islands, the lagoon offers a peaceful and breathtaking setting for guests to enjoy water activities like paddle-boarding, kayaking, and swimming.
The resort also caters to families with a range of kid-friendly activities, including craft workshops, scavenger hunts, and outdoor movie nights. During my stay, my daughter particularly enjoyed the pizza-making activity and the Junkanoo-inspired mask workshop.
In conclusion, South Bank Resort offers a tranquil and luxurious escape for families looking to unwind and create lasting memories. With its stunning accommodations, dining options, and array of activities, the resort caters to both parents and children, providing a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment.
