A Certain Ratio Announces Exciting Tour Plans

A Certain Ratio, the post-punk rock band, is stirring up excitement as they gear up for their upcoming tour. As fans eagerly await the Sextet and Force Anniversary Tour in the fourth quarter, the Manchester-based group has lined up a series of shows for this spring and summer.

Taking to Instagram, the band behind hits like “Do the Du” revealed a new addition to their May schedule – a one-night concert on the 20th. This show marks their debut performance in the historic town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in England. “We are pleased to add another date to our summer shows and it’s our first time in Tunbridge Wells,” the caption reads.

With origins in the late 1970s, A Certain Ratio is recognized as a key figure in the “punk-funk” music scene. Offering a distinct blend of dance-driven sounds, energetic rhythms, and eclectic influences, they have carved out their own unique sound over the years.

The current lineup of the band features core members Donald Johnson on drums and vocals, Jez Kerr on bass and vocals, and Martin Moscrop on guitar and trumpet. The trio continues to uphold the band’s signature sound and stage presence.

In May, A Certain Ratio is set to perform at two festivals – Footsteps Festival in London and Bearded Theory Festival in Derbyshire. These appearances serve as a lead-up to their highly anticipated anniversary tour scheduled for October.

Announcing a 12-show run across the UK earlier this month, the band expressed gratitude to their fans for the overwhelming support. The tour will kick off in early October, making stops in key cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Blackpool, Manchester, and more.

As A Certain Ratio prepares to hit the road once again, fans can expect electrifying performances and a showcase of their enduring talent. Stay tuned for an unforgettable musical experience with this iconic post-punk rock band.
