Ready to plan your next Disney vacation? With 2026 bringing changes to hotel perks at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, there’s a lot to consider as you map out your magical getaway. From early park access to dining reservations, here’s what you need to know to make the most of your stay.
At Walt Disney World, the beloved perks that guests enjoyed in 2025 are sticking around for 2026. That means Disney Resort hotel guests can still enjoy 30 minutes of early park access each day of their stay, including arrival and departure days. Plus, during the summer of 2026, Disney is adding even more fun with special character appearances happening exclusively during Early Entry hours across all four theme parks.
Dining access is also getting a boost, with guests now able to book reservations 60 days before check-in and plan meals for their entire stay, up to 10 nights, in one booking window. And when it comes to Lightning Lane access, guests staying on property can start booking their selections seven days before their trip starts, covering their entire stay, while off-site visitors only get three days.
While the free water park perk is making a return, it’s now limited to check-in day only for stays between May 26 and September 8, with blackout dates and availability restrictions. But fear not, because Disney is offering some amazing deals during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, including two free room nights and two free theme park days, room discounts up to 30%, and free dining plans for kids ages 3 to 9 when adults purchase qualifying dining plans.
Over at Disneyland Resort, hotel perks are undergoing a noticeable change. Early Entry has ended, replaced by a new benefit: one Lightning Lane Multi Pass entry per guest, per stay. This single-use benefit can be redeemed at one eligible attraction across Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure, offering a new way to maximize your park experience.
Understanding these changes upfront can help you make the most of your Disney vacation, whether you’re heading to Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. With new perks, added value, and exciting offers, 2026 is shaping up to be an unforgettable year for Disney fans everywhere.
