FBI intensifies search for missing mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie

The seventh day of the search for Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, is underway, with the FBI taking strategic action to locate the 84-year-old. CNN reported that billboards featuring Nancy and an FBI hotline will be placed in neighboring states, a week after her abduction from her Tucson home. Additional billboards are set to appear in Texas, New Mexico, and California as part of the effort to find Nancy.

The digital billboard initiative implemented by the FBI has led to numerous fugitive captures and aided in various investigations, as per a 2017 report. The FBI website explains that digital billboards can quickly display crucial information related to missing persons or public safety issues, allowing for targeted messages to specific locations in urgent situations.

In early February, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department began searching for Nancy, who was last seen at her home on January 31. Law enforcement confirmed that Nancy had been taken from her residence against her will, with blood found at the crime scene belonging to her. Despite investigating multiple ransom notes and issuing video messages to captors through Savannah and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie, Nancy still remains missing.

Individuals with information on Nancy’s case are urged to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI. As the search continues for Nancy, efforts to raise awareness and gather information remain ongoing across multiple states.

With each passing day, the search for Nancy Guthrie intensifies, with authorities and loved ones combing through evidence and pursuing leads to bring her safely home. The determined efforts of law enforcement and the support of the community highlight the urgency and importance of finding Nancy and bringing her back to her family.
