Writer and producer Adam Jay Epstein, a key player in the Chia Pet acquisition, expressed excitement at the prospect of expanding the brand’s reach. “Chia Pets have been a staple on our shelves since childhood, and we’re eager to bring the world of Chia to audiences worldwide,” Epstein shared in a statement to Variety.

With Rakia Media’s success in reviving the Backyard Sports video game franchise alongside Playground Productions, it’s no surprise that the Chia Pet revival is met with anticipation. The animated special, Backyard Sports: The Animated Special, is set to premiere on YouTube this week, further solidifying Rakia Media’s commitment to bringing beloved brands back to life.
