Immolation Announces Pre-Order Bundles for Upcoming Album “Descent”

As Immolation prepares to release their highly anticipated album “Descent” and hit the road for a spring tour, they recently made a thrilling announcement. The American metal band shared on X that in celebration of their upcoming album, fans can now pre-order special U.S. and EU bundles and merch such as CDs, vinyl records, and t-shirts on their official website.

Immolation, formed in 1986 in Yonkers, New York, is recognized as one of the pioneers of the death metal scene in New York State, standing alongside bands like Incantation, Mortician, and Suffocation. “Descent” is scheduled to be released by Nuclear Blast Records on April 10, with the option to pre-save using this link.

Originally named Rigor Mortis, Immolation was founded by Andrew Sakowicz, Dave Wilkinson, and Robert Vigna. After Sakowicz departed and Ross Dolan joined the band, they changed their name to Immolation. The group signed with Roadrunner Records and released their debut album, “Dawn of Possession,” in 1991, eventually switching to Metal Blade Records and releasing three albums under them.

Having released 11 studio albums, with the latest being “Acts of God” in 2022, Immolation boasts additional works such as EPs, a DVD, a compilation album, and a book titled “Into Everlasting Fire: The Official History of Immolation.” The band’s current lineup includes Vigna, Dolan, Steve Shalaty, and Alex Bouks. They recently dropped the lead single for “Descent,” titled “Adversary,” on digital platforms last Friday.

In their official store, Immolation offers a variety of t-shirts for purchase, featuring designs inspired by “Descent” and previous albums like “Dawn of Possession,” “Acts of God,” and “Here in After.” Additionally, fans can snag the tour t-shirt from the band’s 2025 Brazil tour. “Descent” by Immolation is set to release on April 10, with “Adversary” available for streaming and the album open for pre-order. Tickets are still accessible for “The Goddess IV Tour” this spring.

Wrapping up, Immolation’s energy and dedication to their craft continue to resonate with fans and music enthusiasts alike. As they gear up for their new album release and upcoming tour, the band remains a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene.
