Temple of Void Announces New Album “The Crawl”

Temple of Void makes a triumphant return with their upcoming fifth studio album, “The Crawl,” set to be released on March 6. The band announced this exciting news on Instagram earlier this week, revealing that the title track is already available along with an official music video directed by The C.O.I.N.

Comprised of members Alex Awn, Jason Pearce, Mike Erdody, and Justin Malek, Temple of Void recorded and mixed “The Crawl” in January at God City in Salem, Massachusetts, with Kurt Ballou handling the production and Brad Boatright mastering the album. With seven new songs, the band describes this release as a departure from their previous death-doom sound, showcasing a wider dynamic range that delves into dark and mysterious territories.

Speaking to Metal Injection prior to the announcement, Awn shared his thoughts on the album, highlighting the band’s focus on creating a heavy record without conforming to a specific genre. Fans have already expressed their excitement for the new music, praising the lead single and eagerly anticipating the full album.

The album cover, designed by Travis Smith, has also garnered praise for its striking visuals. One fan even expressed hope for a tour to follow the album’s release. With a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaiting the new music, Temple of Void’s return is poised to make a significant impact in the metal scene.

Temple of Void first burst onto the scene in 2014 with their debut album, “Of Terror and the Supernatural.” Their subsequent releases, including the critically acclaimed “Lords of Death,” have solidified their place in the metal world. With “The Crawl” set to be released via Relapse Records, fans can expect a thrilling new chapter in the band’s discography.

In a world where creativity and innovation reign supreme, Temple of Void’s bold new direction in “The Crawl” is sure to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression on the metal community. As they prepare to unleash their latest musical offering, one thing is clear: Temple of Void is back, stronger and more dynamic than ever before.
