The Dead Ones

When news broke that deathcore metal band The Last Ten Seconds of Life is releasing their eighth studio album “The Dead Ones” on April 17, fans were filled with anticipation. The record label, Metal Blade Records, made the announcement on Instagram, revealing that the title track and lead single were also released the same day. Formed in 2010 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, TLTSOL has undergone several lineup changes over the years, with Wyatt McLaughlin being the only original member left.

Produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Pennsylvania’s Atrium Audio, the album features 10 new tracks that showcase the band’s evolution in sound and style. In an interview with Metal Injection, McLaughlin emphasized the band’s focus on perfecting the guitar, bass, and drum tones, as well as the mix and master of the album, drawing from their past work and fan feedback.

Collaborations with other artists are also highlighted in “The Dead Ones,” adding new dimensions to the band’s sound. David Simonich of Signs of The Swarm, former Fit For An Autopsy vocalist Nate Johnson, and Alan Grnja of Distant each lend their talents to different tracks on the album. Original TLTSOL vocalist Storm Strope also makes a special appearance, adding a nostalgic touch for longtime fans.

Since the release of the title track, fans have been buzzing with excitement, praising the band’s unique sound and eagerly awaiting the full album drop. Social media reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with fans expressing admiration for the band’s vocals and musical style.

Looking ahead, TLTSOL is set to open for Left To Suffer on a North American tour, hitting various cities across the continent. The tour kicks off in Atlanta and concludes in Dallas, showcasing the band’s live performance abilities.
