Twang Bang Tour: Nazareth and Foghat Co-Headlining Concerts

In the world of iconic 1970s rock bands, fans were treated to some exciting news. The legendary Nazareth, a Scottish hard rock band formed in 1968, announced they will be teaming up with Foghat for a series of co-headlining concerts starting on April 30. The tour will take them across states like Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, and Indiana. Foghat, the English rock band featuring Roger Earl, Bryan Bassett, Rodney O’Quinn, and Scott Holt, had previously announced their own tour in December, which included stops in California, Hawaii, Missouri, Nevada, and more. The tour, titled the “Twang Bang Tour,” kicked off in Fort McDowell, Arizona, last Tuesday.

Foghat, founded in London in 1971, is known for their use of electric slide guitar in their music, with their 1975 hit “Slow Ride” being a fan favorite. With over 50 years in the industry, the band has released an impressive 17 studio albums. On the other hand, Nazareth, featuring Pete Agnew, Jimmy Murrison, Lee Agnew, and Gianni Pontillo, gained fame in 1975 with their sixth studio album, “Hair of the Dog.” Since their formation in 1971, Nazareth has released 25 records, their latest being “Surviving the Law” in 2022.

In a recent interview with UCR, Foghat’s Roger Earl expressed excitement about hitting the road with Nazareth, noting the band’s talent and their long-standing friendship. Bassett also shared fond memories of touring with Nazareth in the mid-1990s while he was a member of Molly Hatchet. The opportunity to reunite with old friends and share the stage once again was a special moment for both bands.

Tickets for Foghat’s “Twang & Bang Tour” and the co-headlining concerts with Nazareth are now available on their website. The upcoming shows promise to be a memorable experience for fans of both bands, showcasing their enduring talent and rock ‘n’ roll spirit.

As the two rock bands gear up to take the stage together, fans eagerly anticipate a powerhouse performance filled with classic hits and electrifying energy.
