Sebastian Bach Stands By Claim of Being Invited to Join Motley Crue

Sebastian Bach’s claim that he was invited to join Motley Crue in the 1990s has resurfaced, with the former Skid Row frontman maintaining his stance in a recent interview with The Metal Voice. According to Bach, Crue co-founder Nikki Sixx publicly invited him to join the band in 1992 after original singer Vince Neil was fired, but the deal was halted by Atlantic Records.

Although Bach never officially joined Motley Crue, he rehearsed with the band and even discussed the possibility of becoming a member with manager Doug Thaler. Despite the record company’s interference, Bach vividly remembers the experience, even pointing to an MTV interview where the band acknowledged his involvement.

In a 2013 MTV interview, Sixx revealed that they had considered trying out a different singer during Neil’s absence, leading to rehearsals with Bach. Ultimately, the band found magic with Jon Corabi, who temporarily replaced Neil from 1992 to 1996 before Neil returned.

Despite Bach’s claims, Sixx has adamantly denied publicly inviting him to join Motley Crue, citing his friendship with members of Skid Row, Bach’s band at the time of the alleged invitation. Sixx emphasized that Bach’s ties to Skid Row and Motley Crue’s success at the time would have made such a decision unlikely.

In response to Sixx’s denial, Bach took to Facebook to address the controversy, asserting that he did rehearse with Motley Crue and received a genuine offer from Sixx to join the band. While Sixx may dispute the details, Bach remains steadfast in his recollection of the events.

Despite the drama, Bach expressed his continued admiration for Motley Crue, particularly Neil, who has faced recent health challenges. As he reflected on the past events, Bach maintained a respectful tone towards the band and its members.

As the saga of Sebastian Bach’s alleged invitation to join Motley Crue continues to unfold, one thing remains clear: the rock’n’roll world is never short on captivating stories and unexpected twists.
