Founded in 1988 by Praga Khan, Oliver Adams, and Jade 4U in Antwerp, Belgium, Lords of Acid gained recognition for their provocative lyrics and fusion of techno and acid house. Their debut album, Lust, garnered underground success in the Belgian EDM scene in 1991. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, the group released three studio albums, followed by their fifth LP, Deep Chills, in 2012. After a hiatus, Lords of Acid returned in 2018 with Pretty in Kink and released two compilation records in 2021 and 2022.
The highly anticipated new album, titled Acid Reign, is set to feature former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey as the new “Acid Queen.” While details like the tracklist and release date remain under wraps, fans can expect a fresh chapter for the band. The upcoming Cheeky Freaky Tour will be supported by exciting acts like Dead On A Sunday, Princess Superstar, and Tony and The Kiki.
