Def Leppard Announces Debut Tour in India

Def Leppard, the iconic British rock band formed in 1997, is making history with their upcoming debut in India. After 48 years of existence, the band is finally bringing their powerhouse sound and arena-shaking anthems to Indian fans. Composed of vocalist Joe Elliott, bassist Rick Savage, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, and drummer Rick Allen, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are set to kick off a three-city tour in India on March 25.

The excitement among fans is palpable as Def Leppard announced their tour dates in India on their official Instagram account. Starting at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on March 25, the band will then perform at Jio World Garden in Mumbai on March 27, and conclude their India run at Nice Grounds in Bengaluru on March 29.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement upon hearing the news. Comments flooded the post with messages of celebration and warm welcomes. One fan wrote, “Welcome to Meghalaya, Shillong,” while another expressed, “WELCOME TO INDIA. So excited for THIS!” The anticipation is building as fans gear up to headbang throughout the tour.

The Indian music community and Def Leppard fans alike have been eagerly awaiting this moment. The 2026 shows fulfill a long-held dream, especially after the cancellation of the band’s tour dates in 2008. Despite initial plans for shows in Bengaluru and Mumbai that year, they were unfortunately called off due to unforeseen circumstances.

Now, after 18 years, fans will finally have the opportunity to witness Def Leppard’s electrifying stage presence and classic hits like “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Rock of Ages,” “Love Bites,” “Animal,” and “Photograph” live in India. This long-awaited debut is sure to be a momentous occasion for both the band and their devoted fans.
