Based on the real-life experiences of veterinarian James Alfred Wight, who wrote under the pen name James Herriot, “All Creatures Great and Small” follows the adventures of James Herriot in the fictional town of Darrowby, England. The series, which debuted on PBS in 2020, is a remake of a 1970s show based on Wight’s books. The current cast includes Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot and Rachel Shenton as his wife, Helen.

Newcomer Nicholas Ralph stars as the lovable James Herriot, while Rachel Shenton plays his supportive wife, Helen. The series also features Samuel West as the enigmatic Siegfried Farnon, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon, and Anna Madeley as the caring Mrs. Hall.

Season 6 of “All Creatures Great and Small” picks up in 1945, after the end of World War II. Tristan returns from the war, bringing changes to life in the Dales. Filmed in Yorkshire, northern England, the series continues to enchant viewers with its picturesque setting and endearing characters.
