A former Ohio State football player, Michael Roen McCullough, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, leaving her with visible injuries.
The incident occurred during an argument while they were driving home, resulting in McCullough punching her and grabbing her throat.
The woman reported feeling unable to breathe and panicked during the attack. Police responded to a domestic violence report filed by the victim, who detailed the harrowing experience that took place in his vehicle. McCullough is currently in jail without bond and is facing a felony charge of strangulation.
Despite his past as a Buckeyes long snapper, McCullough medically retired from football in 2021 after losing his right eye in a serious accident.
