The Gambia Police Force is currently searching for Mamadou Salieu Dambale, a married man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in his neighborhood.
The incident took place in Sare Gillah village, Toumana District, where Mamadou, a farmer in his 30s, allegedly assaulted the young girl as she was returning from her mother’s farm.
The victim’s grandmother found her bleeding and reported the assault to the authorities. The girl is currently receiving medical treatment at Basse Health Centre, while the suspect remains at large.
The police are conducting investigations and urge the public to provide any relevant information to assist in the suspect’s arrest.
