Woman from Spain Banned From Disney World After Altercation at Magic Kingdom

A woman visiting Walt Disney World from Spain was recently banned from all Disney properties after allegedly shoving a teenager to get a better view of a parade. The incident took place at Magic Kingdom, where deputies had to intervene to separate the two parties involved.

The teenager was standing on Main Street in front of Cinderella Castle, eagerly waiting for the parade to start, when the older woman, Martha Zapata-Echeverri, confronted her. The woman claimed she was trying to make space to see the parade and moved the teen to the side by grabbing her arm, leaving visible bruising and abrasions.

Zapata-Echeverri explained to authorities that the teen had allegedly pushed into her while following behind her daughter to get a better view of the parade. The altercation resulted in the teen being the only one to sustain injuries, with noticeable nail marks on her arm.

Following the incident, Zapata-Echeverri was arrested for child abuse and had her bond reduced in court. The judge also ordered her not to return to any Disney property. Despite her upcoming return to Spain, the consequences of her actions at the Happiest Place on Earth will likely follow her for some time.
