The speculation started after a video surfaced showing her dancing closely with her Emilia Pérez co-star Edgar Ramirez at Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour in Madison Square Garden, NYC. This led to whispers about her relationship with Blanco.
However, Gomez shut down the rumours after being spotted with both her record producer boyfriend and Ramirez at the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming film, Emilia Pérez, on October 22, 2024. They were later seen together at Mother Wolf, a local hotspot, celebrating the premiere.
On October 23, Gomez took to her Instagram stories to clear the air further by sharing a clip of Benny Blanco and Edgar Ramirez dancing together, with Sabrina Carpenter’s Bed Chem playing in the background, proving there was no tension between the two men and putting the cheating speculation to rest.
The Midnight Vibes singer’s French musical crime comedy, Emilia Pérez, is set for a limited release in Canada and the U.S. on November 1, with a Netflix premiere on November 13, 2024. In addition to Emilia Pérez, Gomez is also starring in Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short.
