The general theme seems to be oversized clothing with as little shape and structure as possible.
Sophie felt the need to provide an outfit of her own, though hers was notably more fashionable than other options on TikTok.
“Whenever I go out in public like this, no man dares to approach me,” she said.
“They genuinely all think I’m a witch or something. All you have to do is dress like you don’t belong in this era and then add as many ruffles and frills as possible.”
Sophie’s outfit featured a cream-patterned corset paired with a sheer white bralette, a flowing skirt, and show-stopping gold boots that made a serious statement.
She also piled on waist chains, arm cuffs, and chunky rings, emphasizing that it’s important to wear “every piece of jewelry you own”.
While dressing like you’re from another time seems to put off a large majority of men, women should not have to dress a certain way just to scare men off.
