Ashley Reyes Joins “Walker” as Jared Padalecki’s New Partner

Ashley Reyes has joined the cast of “Walker.” She has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming season of The CW’s “Walker,” opposite Jared Padalecki.

The “American Gods” actress will take on the role of Cassie Perez, who is Cordell’s (Padalecki) new partner. She will make a cameo appearance in the next episode of the “Walker, Texas Ranger” reimagining, titled “Nudge,” which airs March 3.

Cassie is a passionate Texas Ranger who served as a Texas state trooper for eight years before that. “Walker” is the story of Padalecki’s character, Cordell Walker, a widowed father of two with his own set of moral standards who returns home to Austin after two years on the job in a high-profile case. The second season of Walker documents the aftermath of Season 1, as the Walker family tries to recover from their traumas while also confronting the demons from their past that have come back to haunt them.

Ashley Reyes is replacing Lindsey Morgan who has departed the series. She previously played Walker’s previous partner Micki Ramirez. She quit “Walker” in December due to personal reasons, appearing in her final episode during the midseason finale.

Ashley Reyes is a well-known actress who plays Cordelia in the adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “American Gods.” She currently stars as Karen on Hulu’s “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff, “How I Met Your Father”.
