Woman Rescues Dog After 60-Foot Fall

In a daring mountain climb in Canada, a woman named Margaux Cohen found herself in a heart-stopping situation when her dog, Zion, slipped and she fell 60 feet down the mountainside while trying to save him. Despite sustaining a broken leg from the fall, Margaux miraculously stayed awake through the ordeal.

Margaux, an experienced hiker, was hiking Tricouni Peak with her dog and friends when the accident occurred. After reaching the summit, they faced a challenging descent that led to the unfortunate fall. Despite her injuries, Margaux managed to keep herself composed and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Remarkably, Zion, the dog, only suffered an injured paw from the incident and remained cheerful after the fall. Squamish Search and Rescue came to their aid after a two-hour wait, transferring Margaux to Lions Gate Hospital for medical attention. She underwent surgery for her broken leg and is on the path to recovery without any major organ injuries.

The incident prompted Margaux’s friend to set up a GoFundMe page to assist with her medical expenses and Zion’s veterinary bills. The campaign has received overwhelming support, with donations exceeding $12,500 towards the goal.
