Over a month after Phaedra Parks announced her return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the reality star has shared some exciting new details about what fans can expect from the upcoming 16th season of the Bravo series.
“It went absolutely awesome,” Phaedra exclusively told E! News on 17 September, backstage at Dancing with the Stars after her ballroom debut. “I felt like I was back at home.”
Parks has also reunited with her iconic best friend, Porsha Williams, who is returning to the series after leaving following season 13. Fans can expect the same fun antics from the dynamic duo, lovingly nicknamed Frick and Frack.
As Phaedra teased, “When Frick and Frack is back, honey, it’s gonna be some fun.”
Returning stars Drew Sidora, Cynthia Bailey, and Shamea Morton Mwangi will join them, along with newcomers Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.
“It’s definitely going to be very spicy,” Phaedra teased, “but it’s going to be fun too.”
Regarding the departure of longtime stars Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore, Phaedra is enthusiastic about the series’ new direction. “Sometimes, when shows have the same cast for too long, people stop being their true selves,” the The Traitors alum shared. “So, bringing in some new energy is going to shake things up, but in a good way. In a positive way.”
Before fans see Phaedra’s return to RHOA, they can catch her competing in season 33 of DWTS, which premiered on 17 September. As for how she’s feeling after her first week of competition? “I’m very excited,” she told E!. “This is very physical, so it’s all about movement. This is not the ‘Electric Slide’; this is very detailed, very organised, very planned.”
