If You Could Change One Thing From Your Time In University What Would That Be?

At different stages of our lives as women, we may assume that we have all our bases covered. However growth and introspection may reveal cracks in our previous thoughts and behaviours.

This also applies to issues of education, workplace and friendships.

More women need to share the things they hope to change about these three areas so that younger women know what to look out for.

In our latest listicle at Urban Woman Magazine, we asked some women to share one thing they would change about their time in university.

Read their responses below.

I would have been open to more than my books.

I didn’t build any form of social life then, and now it’s social currency that keeps me in some ways, and I’m not even doing anything related to my studies.

Building on my social skills and network earlier would have been a great additional experience too.

I would study harder and play harder too.

Basically connect more with others. Although in hindsight I’m proud of myself because I was going through a lot at the time. But still…

Not attend at all or at least do an online course. I think it’s pretty much the course I did, or maybe the fact that Nigerian schools don’t allow for multipotentialites to actually grow.

I was struggling, dividing myself between what school said to do and what I wanted to do.

I was sleep deprived half the time and didn’t enjoy school at all. I think an online school might have been a better fit for me.
