The star of ‘Oppenheimer’ has come out as trans masculine non-binary and chosen the name Nick Dumont for friends and family, while continuing to use the stage name Emma.
In a recent Instagram Story, the 30-year-old, who played Cillian Murphy’s sister-in-law Jackie, shared that they will use “they/them” pronouns moving forward.
A representative told TMZ that while they identify as a trans masculine non-binary person, their professional name will remain Emma Dumont.
Dumont’s last Instagram post was on December 3, showcasing a slideshow of themselves, but they have yet to publicly discuss this change.
The term transmasculine comprises of various identities, including transgender males and AFAB nonbinary individuals.
