As much as being hardworking is a necessary skill for anyone to have, knowing how to rest and enjoy are both also necessary.
This also applies to women. Women need to be encouraged more to rest even as we are encouraged to aim high.
On that note, Urban Woman Magazine asked some women to share some things they do to rest and where they go to unwind when faced with stress.

When I’m stressed or facing burnout I rewatch Bridgerton and Isoken on Netflix. For some reason those two series and films really ground me and help me see better.

My favourite place to go when I need to unwind is the cinema. I schedule and pay for movies ahead of Saturday so that I have something to look forward to.

For me, a group call with my friends helps me relieve feelings of stress. I also hugely recommend visiting friends or family.

I read! Reading has such a powerful way of relaxing me each time I’m experiencing burnout. I set a reminder to read and I try to read ten pages each day at the very least.
