When The Voice returns for Season 29 next spring, it will debut a revamped format and a new name: The Voice: Battle of Champions. The season will feature fan favorite coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine.
Season 29 coincides with NBC Sports’ “Legendary February,” infusing the season with fast-paced, competitive elements.
In “Battle of Champions,” the format will have four rounds with unique for the show:
– Blinds: Coaches compete in the “Triple Turn Competition” for the most three-chair turns.
– Battles: The coach with the most three-chair turns earns a “Super Steal” for the Battles.
– Knockouts: Each coach brings back fan-favorite artists from previous seasons for an “In-Season All-Star Competition.”
– Semi-Finals and Finale: The season culminates in the Top 4 Finale with a new voting block.
The Mega Mentor for Season 29 is yet to be announced.
Blake Shelton is the coach with the most wins on The Voice, followed by Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. Several coaches, including Kelsea Ballerini, Chance the Rapper, and Ariana Grande, have yet to have a winning artist.
The Voice is filmed at Universal Studios in Hollywood and can be watched on NBC or streamed on Peacock.
