Static-X Cancels 2026 Tour Dates Due to Medical Issues, Promises Return in 2027

The industrial metal band Static-X has made the difficult decision to cancel all of its remaining 2026 tour dates due to serious medical issues affecting one or more band members. The announcement was shared on social media, with the band expressing their apologies for the inconvenience caused by the unavoidable situation. They assured fans that they would return to the stage in 2027, stronger and better than ever.

Among the canceled dates were a summer tour with Dope across several U.S. cities and festival appearances in states such as Illinois, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Montana. The band had recently performed at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach and the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival before the tour cancellation was announced.

Prior to the tour cancellation, bassist Tony Campos had mentioned the band’s plans to work on new material following the completion of an upcoming documentary. The documentary, titled Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall, And Regeneration Of Static-X, was teased during the 25th-anniversary celebration of the band’s breakout album, Wisconsin Death Trip.

Static-X, formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, achieved mainstream success with their platinum-selling debut album and hit single “Push It.” The band released six studio albums before officially disbanding in 2013. The tragic death of their late frontman Wayne Static in 2014 led to a reunion of the band in 2018, with a new masked vocalist known as Xer0.

Despite the challenges faced by the band, they have continued to release new material that combines archived vocal recordings from Wayne Static with fresh material. Fans can look forward to the band’s return in 2027, eager to see what the future holds for Static-X.
