Spineshank, the ’90s nu-metal icons, have excited fans with the announcement of a tour to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of their second album, “The Height of Callousness.” The news, revealed on Instagram last Thursday, has sparked anticipation among their dedicated followers.
Named the “Nu Metal Sucks” tour, the band will visit over 30 cities across the U.S., kicking off in Lubbock, Texas on April 24. Joining Spineshank on selected dates as supporting acts are metal bands Kissing Candice, Tidalsband, Oceans on Other Planets, and Carbonstone.
This tour marks the first time the band’s new members, guitarists Tommy Decker Jr. (son of drummer Tommy Decker) and Jason Hager (formerly of Chimaira), will join the original lineup of vocalist Jonny Santos, bassist Robert Garcia, and drummer Tommy Decker for a nationwide adventure.
While Spineshank has not released new music since 2012, drummer Decker hinted at upcoming material in September 2025. He mentioned that although it might take some time, new songs are in the works with the help of the new band additions.
Despite the hiatus in new releases, loyal fans expressed their enthusiasm for the tour on social media, eagerly anticipating their chance to see Spineshank live once again.
Attendees of the tour posted comments such as “Get um boyz 🔥,” “Can’t wait to see yall in Louisville again!!!!!!,” and “See you at pops 🤘🏻” under the announcement post on Instagram.
