Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has opened up about having to replace her “vintage” breast implants after discovering they were ruptured during an MRI scan.
The Netflix star explained that after undergoing a full body scan earlier this year, she learned both of her implants had ruptured 15 years after the original procedure.
Taking to Instagram to share her experience, Chrishell wrote: “Earlier this year, I had a full body scan and learned both of my breast implants were ruptured. My first thought was fear, thinking about having to undergo surgery and if the rupture would lead to any complications.”
Chrishell was relieved to find a new doctor to perform the surgery since her original surgeon is no longer practising. She expressed gratitude to Dr Josef Hadeed, saying she “had an amazing experience with him and his team,” and added: “They were able to remove all of the silicone and replace my 15-year-old ‘vintage’ implants.”
She emphasised that plastic surgery is a personal choice, noting, “I’m in no way encouraging anyone to change anything about their body. If you do make that choice for yourself, it’s so important to stay on top of your health – I know many people could be living with this and have no idea.”
Chrishell also announced a Q&A session on her social media for those curious about her experience.
As for Selling Sunset, Chrishell’s return for a potential ninth season has not yet been confirmed, leaving fans waiting to see if Netflix will renew the show.
