In a recent interview, the 68-year-old actor discussed his Broadway debut, his return to television, and his upcoming role as a first-time grandfather.

Romano revealed that he was inspired to embrace new experiences after reading the book The Year of Yes. He joked about saying “yes” to things that once scared him, including his venture onto Broadway and a coaching role on the show Running Point alongside Kate Hudson. However, the biggest change in his life will be becoming a grandfather, as his daughter Alexandra is due to give birth soon.

Excitement and nerves filled Romano as he shared his anticipation of becoming a grandfather. He playfully mentioned the joy of playing with grandchildren and the relief of handing them back when needed. Reflecting on his own father, he expressed his desire to be called “Papa Ray” by his grandson.

Despite his fearless approach to new experiences, Romano admitted to feeling nervous about his Broadway debut. He described his upcoming project, ALL OUT: COMEDY ABOUT AMBITION, as the perfect introduction to the theatre world. The show, featuring a rotating cast of comedians, is set to run until March 8.

As Romano embarks on this new chapter, he emphasizes that he will not be singing in ALL OUT. With a focus on humor and camaraderie, the actor is eager to bring laughter to the Broadway stage.
