Nation Calls for Safe Return of Savannah Guthrie’s Missing Mother

Over a week has passed since Today Show anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona. The nation collectively prays for her safe return. Nancy, 84, was reported missing on February 1 after being taken from her house on the night of January 31. Concerned parishioners notified her family when she didn’t show up at church on the 1st, prompting a police report on her disappearance. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department labeled Nancy’s home a crime scene on February 2, sparking an official investigation.

On February 3, TMZ disclosed that a ransom note was delivered to the Guthrie family, suggesting she had been kidnapped and held against her will. Savannah Guthrie, along with her sister Annie Guthrie and brother Camron Guthrie, recorded two videos for the alleged kidnappers. The initial video, posted on February 5, saw Savannah pleading for her mother’s safe return. The second video, shared on February 7, highlights the escalating crisis.

In an interview with NewsNation on February 7, Joe Petito, father of the late Gabby Petito, weighed in after watching Savannah Guthrie’s latest video. Gabby went missing during a cross-country RV trip in 2021 and was tragically found deceased eight days later. Joe empathized with the Guthrie family’s public ordeal, commending their strength while enduring such a traumatic situation under intense scrutiny. He emphasized the importance of federal resources for every missing person.

As the search continues for Nancy Guthrie, authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department or utilize the P3TIPS app for anonymous submissions. The hope remains for Nancy to return home safely.
