Megan Markle Says She Won’t Be Continuing Her Acting Career

Meghan Markle, has made it clear that she has no plans to return to her acting career. In an interview with Variety, Meghan stated that while she will never say never, her current intention is to focus on her non-profit organization Archewell and her podcast Archetypes. Her recent venture into children’s literature with the publication of her book The Bench also keeps her busy.

She said,

“No. I’m done.

“I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”

Meghan rose to fame for her role as Rachel Zane on the legal drama Suits, but had an impressive list of credits before deciding to leave the industry after meeting Prince Harry. She made her acting debut in 1995 and has since appeared in movies, television shows, and even a stint on General Hospital.

Now, Meghan is enjoying a simpler life with Harry and their children in California and strives for joy in all aspects of her life. She hopes that her podcast will help break down harmful labels and show people that she is just a real, human being.

“I think that what happens, looking in from the outside, when there is this much noise, is that you become dehumanized.

“But if you remember that someone is a human being, then you don’t treat them, talk about them, look at them the same way. My hope for Archetypes is that people come out thinking, ‘Oh! She’s a real person! She laughs and asks questions and approaches things with curiosity’.”
