Lady Gaga has revealed a surprising detail about her engagement to fiancé Michael Polansky. While appearing on The Graham Norton Show to promote her film Joker: Folie à Deux, she disclosed that she initially wanted to keep their engagement private.
Polansky proposed on April 1st, and Gaga initially thought it was a joke. However, their engagement was accidentally revealed during the Olympics when a video captured her referring to Polansky as her fiancé while greeting the French Prime Minister.
Laughing, Gaga admitted, “I had wanted to keep it a secret!”
In July, a video of Gaga introducing Polansky as “my fiancé” to Prime Minister Gabriel Attal went viral after she opened the ceremony.
The couple’s relationship began in 2020 when they were spotted kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. Gaga made their relationship Instagram-official a few weeks later during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami for Super Bowl 2020.
This marks Gaga’s third engagement, following previous ones to Christian Carino and Taylor Kinney.
