Keith Urban is addressing speculation surrounding his changed lyrics during his recent concert in Nashville. The singer made it clear to fans that not every altered line is a hidden message about his rumored split from Nicole Kidman.
During his performance of “You’ll Think of Me,” Urban playfully tweaked some lyrics, causing some fans to speculate about hidden meanings. However, the 57-year-old singer reminded the audience to not read too much into it, emphasizing that the song is simply called “You’ll Think of Me.”
This isn’t the first time Urban has altered lyrics, as he previously changed the words to his song “The Fighter” shortly after reports of his divorce from Kidman emerged. The song, inspired by his relationship with the actress, saw Urban replacing certain lines with references to his guitarist during a live performance.
The separation between Kidman and Urban was announced in late September, with Kidman filing for divorce the following day. The couple, who tied the knot in 2006, have two daughters together, Sunday and Faith. Despite the public attention, Urban seems to be taking the changes in stride, playfully addressing the speculation during his concerts.
