John Fogerty’s ‘Centerfield’ Album Remastered for Hall of Fame Edition

With the baseball season in full swing, John Fogerty’s music is back in the spotlight. The rock legend recently announced a remastered edition of his 1985 album “Centerfield,” set for release on Aug. 28. This news comes as Major League Baseball kicks off its 2026 season, signaling a summer filled with activities for Fogerty.

The remastered album, titled “Centerfield (Hall of Fame Edition),” features classic tracks like the title song, “Rock and Roll Girls,” and “Old Man Down the Road.” Remastered by Emily Lazar from the original half-inch master analog tapes, the album also includes live versions of these hits recorded in 2024 with Fogerty’s current band, featuring his sons Shane and Tyler Fogerty.

The release of “Centerfield” marked a significant comeback for Fogerty, his first solo success outside of Creedence Clearwater Revival after years of uncertainty following the band’s breakup. Despite past struggles, Fogerty’s music has stood the test of time, with the album reaching No. 1 on the Top Pop Albums chart in its ninth week.

This summer, Fogerty continues to make waves in the music industry with tour dates alongside Steve Winwood and a special honor from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, receiving the Johnny Mercer Award. Additionally, he is scheduled to perform at the “Thank You, NYPD” concert honoring New York City’s first responders at Madison Square Garden on March 28, alongside artists like Cyndi Lauper and Fat Joe.

As his legendary career unfolds, Fogerty’s enduring impact on the music industry is undeniable. With a legacy that transcends generations, his timeless music continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
