Linda Sebezo says she is not fazed by social media trolls criticising her for shopping at the low-end retailer Shoprite.
In a recent social media post, the actress lashed out at critics for constantly scrutinising her personal life. The latest controversy centres on her choice of supermarket, with some people taking issue with her shopping at Shoprite.
Linda said she would not change her life to fit the expectations of her followers because she is a simple woman living comfortably.
“You guys don’t know what you want to talk about anymore. When you speak about people, you talk about things I don’t understand. One moment you say I’m pregnant, and the next, RIP. Now you have a problem with me shopping at Shoprite. Is there anything wrong with someone shopping at Shoprite?”
“I’m a simple person, and I believe I’m a people’s person, which is why I chose the line of work I am in. No, you guys are taking it too far. You are bullying us. I have a family. I don’t go to bed hungry. Now you are taking it too far. Shoprite is a small store. I live in Soweto.”
