Elon Musk’s ex-partner, Grimes, has publicly urged him to address a “medical crisis” concerning their child.
In a series of now-deleted tweets shared widely on Thursday, February 20, the 36-year-old singer-songwriter asked Musk, 53, to “Please respond about our child’s medical crisis.”
She further stated, “I’m sorry to do this publicly, but ignoring this situation is no longer acceptable. It requires immediate attention.” She did not provide specifics about the nature of the crisis.
Musk and Grimes, who first became publicly linked in May 2018, had an on-again, off-again relationship before parting ways for good in 2022.
They have three children together: X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2. It’s unclear which child Grimes was referring to in her tweets.
In another post, Grimes pleaded, “If you don’t want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward with solving this? This is urgent, Elon.”
She also responded to a user who questioned whether going public with her concerns would help the situation.
“I’m not giving any details, but he won’t respond to texts, calls, or emails, and has skipped every meeting. Our child will suffer lifelong impairment if he doesn’t respond ASAP,” Grimes explained.
“So I need him to respond, and if I have to apply public pressure, then I guess that’s where we’re at.”
In a separate reply, Grimes laughed off a comment from a fan who claimed she had been “shadow banned” on X, showing a screenshot where her tweet was visible before being removed.
A social media user asked Grimes if she had consulted a pediatrician and sought a second opinion for her son, to which she responded, “Yes.”
As of now, Musk has not publicly addressed Grimes’ requests.
This is not the first time Grimes has called out Musk on X, the social media platform Musk owns.
Earlier this month, Grimes expressed frustration over Musk taking their son X Æ A-Xii to the Oval Office, revealing that she learned of the visit from a random user on X.
“He should not be in public like this,” she tweeted. “I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Grimes’ tweets come just a week after author Ashley St. Clair revealed that she had given birth to Musk’s 13th child five months ago.
