The early ’90s ushered in a new era of grunge music, but the reign of hair metal was not quite over. FireHouse made waves with their self-titled debut album in 1990, a critically and commercially successful release that even earned them the American Music Award for Best New Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band in 1992, beating out heavyweights like Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
Now, 35 years after their power ballad “Love of a Lifetime” dominated the charts, FireHouse is hitting the road once again. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the band is set to kick off their 2026 tour in Ft. Yates, North Dakota on Feb. 7 and will be performing across various cities until April 18, including stops in Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. Joining them on stage will be special guests such as Warrant, Steelheart, Lita Ford, and Mike Tramp’s White Lion.
The current lineup of FireHouse features founding members Bill Leverty on guitar and Michael Foster on drums, alongside long-time bassist Allen McKenzie and singer Nate Peck, who took over as lead vocalist following the passing of original singer CJ Snare in 2024.
In a recent interview with Classic Bands, Leverty shared the band’s influences, citing iconic rock acts like The Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, and Eddie Van Halen as major inspirations. Decades later, FireHouse continues to draw from these roots, releasing new music like their latest single “Mighty Fine Lady,” showcasing Peck’s vocal prowess.
As FireHouse gears up for their upcoming tour, fans can expect a blend of nostalgic hits and fresh energy from the band that has stood the test of time. Their enduring appeal and musical legacy continue to resonate with audiences, proving that true rock icons never go out of style.
