Last week on the latest episode of “Next Level Chef,” the competition heated up as the contestants faced a new challenge in a transformed Great Room that served as a bustling restaurant. With three Michelin-starred VIP guests judging alongside Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais, the pressure was on as teams competed to create one course in a three-course meal.
The top kitchen of the night belonged to Team Blais after delivering the best dish, while Team Arrington found themselves in the bottom kitchen. The challenge for the evening was revealed as a reimagination of classic kids’ dishes, with Gordon’s 6-year-old son Oscar making a special appearance to introduce it.
After two chefs from the bottom teams faced off in the elimination challenge, it was time to say goodbye to one chef as their “Next Level Chef” journey came to an end.
In an intense first challenge, the chefs were tasked with elevating childhood flavors into culinary masterpieces in just 30 minutes. Connor Caine impressed the judges with his elevated fried chicken and waffles, earning Team Arrington a spot in the top-level kitchen for the following week. Amber was sent to the elimination challenge by Gordon, while Tim found himself in the same position after his attempt at an elevated pizza dough fell short.
For the elimination challenge, the chefs had 25 minutes to transform ingredients that kids typically avoid into a dish so irresistible that even children would enjoy it. Unfortunately, Tim’s dish didn’t make the cut, leading to his emotional elimination from the competition.
As the episode wrapped up, it was clear that the competition was only getting more intense, with each chef pushing themselves to the limit to stay in the game. Tune in to “Next Level Chef” on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX to see who will rise to the challenge and who will ultimately fall short.
