Tiffany Haddish, best known for her comedic flair in Girls Trip, recently opened up about a unique experience that took place nearly 20 years ago: a ballet-style film audition that didn’t go as planned. In a candid interview with Us Weekly, Tiffany explained, “I auditioned for a ballet-style dance film, and I did not get hired. But I also got kicked out of ballet class.”
Why did the now-44-year-old actress get dismissed from the class at the time? “For cursing,” Tiffany revealed. “That s–t hurts!” Despite the setback, she found humour in the experience and continued attending to watch the classes and recitals, saying she did so “just to smite the teacher.”
Though her ballet dreams were cut short, Tiffany still dances at home and has found joy in taking barre classes, sharing, “I’m not good at it, but I take barre classes. That’s my jam!” Tiffany also credited her grandmother with instilling in her a passion for fashion and the skills to create her own clothes, a part of her heritage she cherishes deeply.
