Despite this, DDG emphasised that their split was amicable and that they will always be family, especially for the sake of their 10-month-old son, Halo. He also addressed the criticism he has faced, urging people to consider the impact of their words on his family, particularly on their son.
DDG initially announced the breakup via his Instagram Stories, stating that although their relationship has changed, their love for each other remains strong.
The two sparked dating rumours in January 2022 and publicly confirmed their relationship in March 2022. In November 2023, rumours of Halle’s pregnancy arose, and in December, they welcomed their son, Halo.
