Alekhya Reddy is a fashion designer and a close relative of Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy. She had previously worked as a renowned film costume designer, with one of her notable works being on the 2012 Indian Telugu-language action film Nandeeswarudu, produced by Kota Gangadhar and starring her husband Taraka Ratna.

She was the wife of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna a well-known Indian actor and politician. The couple got married on August 2, 2012, at Sanghi Temple, located near Hyderabad. They fell in love during the shooting of the movie Daya, where Alekhya was the costume designer on the sets. They had met through a mutual friend in Hyderabad.
Eventually, Taraka Ratna proposed to her and she suggested they seek permission from their parents.
Taraka Ratna’s parents reportedly did not approve of their marriage, and nobody from the Nandamuri family attended the wedding. However, a few years later, Taraka Ratna’s parents accepted their marriage.
Alekhya Reddy and Taraka Ratna had a daughter in 2013. Her name is Nishka.
