Laura Bargatze and Nate met while they were both working at an Applebee’s restaurant in Tennessee. They went on to have a long-distance relationship while he pursued his comedy career. She lived and worked in Tennessee, while Nate was in New York City. In 2005, Nate proposed to her during a carriage ride in Central Park. They tied the knot on Oct. 13, 2006, a Friday the 13th, and have been together ever since.
Laura is a very private person and doesn’t often appear in the spotlight. But she’s been a huge supporter of Nate’s career from the very beginning.
In a 2022 interview with People magazine, Nate said, “My wife is my biggest fan and supporter. She’s the one who always tells me that I’m funny, even when I’m not.”
