Bob Dylan Announces 2026 Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour with Unique Twist

Bob Dylan fans received some major news: the music icon has officially announced the return of the highly successful Rough and Rowdy Ways tour in 2026. However, this time around, there is a unique twist to the tour that has fans buzzing.

According to Rolling Stone, the 27-date tour across the United States will kick off on March 21 in Omaha and conclude on May 1 in Abilene, Texas. The tour will deviate from the norm of big rock stars playing major metropolitan areas, instead focusing on smaller towns like La Crosse, Wisconsin; Spartanburg, South Carolina; Tyler, Texas; and Macon, Georgia.

If this upcoming tour is anything like its predecessor, concert-goers can expect to hear a mix of songs from 2020’s Rough and Rowdy Ways intermingled with classics like “Desolation Row,” “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight,” and “When I Paint My Masterpiece.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating the tour’s return after Dylan hinted at it in a post on X in November, stating, “To all fans and followers of Rough and Rowdy Ways Show. We will see you early Spring 2026, will let you know where and when later.”

While some fans found the previous shows frustrating due to Dylan’s attempts to avoid being photographed or filmed, the excitement for the upcoming tour remains palpable. As Dylan enforces his no-camera rule, attendees must resist the urge to capture the moment on film.

In an unexpected move, Daniel Hildebrand, the founder of the fan site Daily Dylan, was asked to leave a Glasgow concert and labeled an “unwanted person” for sharing footage from previous shows online. As the tour progresses, it is crucial for fans to respect Dylan’s wishes and refrain from recording the performances.

As Bob Dylan gears up for the 2026 tour, fans can only anticipate what surprises and musical delights he has in store for them. The excitement surrounding the upcoming shows is undeniable, reflecting the enduring appeal and influence of this legendary musician.
