Ann Wilson, lead singer of the iconic rock band Heart, is taking a different approach in 2026 as she embarks on a unique tour for the screening of the documentary “In My Voice.”
The 75-year-old frontwoman recently announced the screening tour for the upcoming film, where she will be traveling to various locations in the United States and Canada to promote the project and engage directly with fans about its creation.
While this tour might not be what fans were expecting, it will feature screenings of the documentary followed by Q&A sessions with Wilson and director Barb Hall. The tour kicks off on Monday, May 11 in Seattle, Washington, with additional stops in Vancouver, Chicago, Cleveland, Nashville, New York City, Toronto, Boston, and Bethel, N.Y.
“This film is my story in my own words, told the way I’ve always wanted to tell it,” Wilson said in a statement introducing the tour, as reported by Louder. “It’s about finding my voice, keeping it alive, and sharing the journey with those who have been a part of it all along.”
Hall provided insight into what attendees can expect from the Q&A sessions, highlighting the opportunity for the audience to engage directly with Wilson and herself, rather than a traditional interview format.
Regarding the content of the documentary, Hall acknowledged that a single film cannot encompass an entire life story, expressing the hope that viewers will be left wanting more and intrigued by the possibility of a book further exploring Wilson’s journey.
As of now, it remains uncertain whether “In My Voice” will be available for streaming after the conclusion of the screening tour.
In a world where self-expression is paramount, Wilson’s ability to share her story authentically resonates with audiences seeking genuine connections through music and film.
