Unveiling Yoko Ono: A Sneak Peek at the Highly Anticipated Beatles Biopics

In April 2028, the highly anticipated Beatles biopics are set to hit theaters, but eager audiences are already thirsting for any tidbits about the project. One such revelation comes from Anna Sawai, who will be portraying the avant-garde artist and John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono.

Speaking to People in a recent interview, Sawai, 33, shared her excitement about embodying Ono on the big screen. “It’s just exciting because [Ono’s] story is so inspirational to me, and people really don’t know the true person that she was,” she explained. Sawai expressed admiration for Ono’s artistry and independence, noting how she was often misunderstood and targeted for her relationship with Lennon. “And I think it’s very meaningful for me to be able to tell her story,” she added.

Sawai also revealed what she loves most about Ono, who recently celebrated her 93rd birthday. “Just how bold she is. Oh my God, I love her. She’s so cool,” Sawai gushed.

The upcoming Beatles biopics, directed by Sam Mendes, will consist of four separate films all released on the same day. The star-studded cast includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

Mendes, known for directing acclaimed films such as “American Beauty” and “1917,” is set to bring his cinematic touch to this unique project.

As audiences eagerly await the release of the Beatles biopics, Sawai’s portrayal of Yoko Ono promises to shed light on the inspirational and bold artist behind the iconic figure. With Mendes at the helm and a stellar cast bringing the legendary band’s story to life, music and film enthusiasts alike have plenty to look forward to in this cinematic event.
