Sebastian Bach, the original Skid Row frontman, is not one to shy away from sharing his opinions, especially when it comes to classic rock bands Rush and Triumph’s upcoming reunion tours. In a recent interview with The Metal Voice, Bach, who hails from Canada, expressed his confusion as to why the classic lineup of his former band has no plans for a reunion while the two Canadian rock bands prepare to hit the road once again.
In the January 2026 interview, Bach questioned the decisions of his former bandmates, stating, “Well, if Triumph is going back on tour and Rush is going back on tour, what is our problem? Like what the heck’s wrong with us? Like it’s just silly.” Despite his frustration, Bach, now 57, made it clear that he is not waiting around for a reunion, as he is focused on his own band, albums, and busy schedule of live performances.
Although Bach has moved on with his own music career, he still poses the question to Skid Row founding members Dave “Snake” Sabo and Rachel Bolan about their thoughts on the Triumph tour. Bach led the classic lineup of Skid Row from 1987 to 1996, and while his era in the band produced hits like “18 and Life” and “Youth Gone Wild,” he was ultimately fired for rejecting new material, as revealed in an interview with Legendary Rock Interviews.
Despite multiple lineup changes in Skid Row over the years, Sabo has made it clear that he, along with bandmates Scotti Hill and Rachel Bolan, have no interest in reuniting the classic lineup that included Bach, as confirmed in a 2024 interview on the Hook Rocks podcast.
Reflecting on the situation in a 2025 interview with Get on the Bus, Bach expressed his belief that the lack of a reunion doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint. Despite the band members not returning his calls and him not being in the same room with them since 1996, Bach remains hopeful that the business matters can be sorted out eventually.
In the world of rock reunions, Triumph recently announced their first tour in over 30 years, while Rush bandmates Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are gearing up for their first tour since the passing of drummer Neil Peart. As Bach prepares to hit the road for his own tour in January 2026, the wheels of classic rock continue to turn, with fans eagerly awaiting what the future holds.
