In a recent interview with comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine, Jennifer Lopez reflected on her mindset during her time abroad and in the Hamptons before her divorce from ex-husband Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old actress spoke about needing to prove to herself that she could be independent, acknowledging it was a challenging period.
She shared that, despite feeling lonely, uncertain, and afraid, she realised she is capable of finding joy and happiness within herself.
Jennifer filed for divorce on 20 August 2024, citing 26 April 2024 as the separation date. She stressed that a relationship does not define her and that she now appreciates the importance of self-derived happiness.
Despite the divorce, Jennifer and Ben appear to remain amicable and were recently seen having a friendly lunch in Los Angeles with their children.
During the interview, Jennifer also expressed that she feels at ease living a single life and is not actively seeking a new relationship.
She highlighted the idea that one does not need a romantic relationship to feel complete and happy.
