Laurel Grau has been Matt Ox’s momager since the 16-year-old rapper went viral in 2017 for his single Overwhelming.
When she’s not a manager, Grau works as a fitness instructor and elementary school teacher at Juniata Park Academy, Philadelphia.
She mentioned in the Lipstick League podcast that her star sign is Aries, the second to last day, meaning her birthday is around 18 April. She is currently aged 31.
Grau gave birth to Ox when she was a 15-year-old student at a Catholic school, but they were extremely supportive of her and the guidance counsellor even created a mom support group.
Matt’s father Chris committed suicide when he was 19 years old, when Ox was aged two. Grau is unsure what caused him to take his life – the couple weren’t together at the time.
Since she was so young, she didn’t even think about abortion and her dad never considered it. But, looking back now, the mom said she’s surprised it didn’t cross her mind.
