Her video lip-syncing to Millie B’s song “M to the B” became the most-liked video on TikTok, garnering over 60 million likes. 

Following her TikTok success, she launched a YouTube channel and signed a record deal with Warner Records, releasing her debut single “Build a Bitch” in May 2021. Bella’s music career flourished, and she released her first EP, “Dolls,” in August 2022.

Controversies

Bella faced some controversies during her rise to fame. In September 2020, she received criticism for having a tattoo resembling the Rising Sun Flag, a symbol associated with Japanese imperialism that many find offensive. 

She apologized and later covered and removed the tattoo. In addition, she shared her experience as a victim of sexual assault in August 2021, bringing attention to the issue.

Personal Life

In her personal life, Bella Poarch married fellow Navy sailor Tyler Poarch in 2019. However, she filed for divorce in November 2022. She currently resides in Los Angeles and actively supports the Asian-American community, speaking out against the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes.
