Flo Milli Claps Back at Critics for Performance Days After Announcing Baby’s Birth

Rapper Flo Milli has responded strongly to criticism regarding her decision to perform shortly after the birth of her first child.

Following the announcement on April 25th of her baby’s arrival, the “Roc Steady” artist performed at Memphis’ RiverBeat Music Festival on Saturday, May 3rd.

This prompted a commenter on X to question her work ethic and the whereabouts of her support system.

Flo Milli, whose real name is Tamia Monique Carter, did not hold back in her reply, using explicit language to tell the commenter to “go choke” before speaking on her, her child’s father, or her family.

She also seemingly clarified that the day she announced her son’s birth was not the actual day he was born.

In another tweet, responding to the assumption that she had given birth just nine days prior, the platinum-selling rapper stated, “God forbid a girl just wanna feel like herself again and perform.”

Flo Milli had previously shared an Instagram post on April 24th, asking for prayers as she anticipated her child’s arrival.

The following day, she posted a photo of herself holding her newborn son. Her recent performance at the music festival, which also featured artists like Missy Elliott and Ludacris, has clearly struck a nerve with some online commenters, leading to the rapper’s assertive defense of her choices as a new mother and working artist.
